MAC-Preparatory Care Inc. enjoyed the Juniors's Black History Month Celebration at Uniondale Library!!!

Children enjoyed viewing the Lives of some Civil Rights Activists such as Nina Simone- legendary singer/songwriter; Dorothy Height- women's rights activist/educator honored with Forever Stamp; Ruby Bridges- Civil Rights Activist-involved in Integration of All-white school; W.E.B. DuBois- author/editor who fought for the pursuit of Justice.

In addition, special guest Story-Teller: Ama Karikari-Yawson of Milestales Publishing shared her West African Storytelling Tradition (with song/dance) based on her book- Sunrie's Gift- Awesome presentation!!! Moral: "What makes you SPECIAL, makes you GREAT!!!
